When I was younger, I created a game called “confessions.” There was only one rule and it was pretty simple: share something you don’t tell people in a regular, superficial conversation. Normally I would go first to set the depth of the moment. Sometimes I would share a secret or fear and other times a funny or embarrassing story. Then it was their turn and in the act of sharing our stories, a stronger connection was made.
That is my hope with these blog confessions and stories from my everyday life—that the words you read here will nudge you to have your own confession conversations and connect more deeply with someone in your life. I hope you make time to connect with yourself, your friends, your family members, and with Jesus.
